Dr. Rachel Harris Monteiro is the founder of River Oaks Dental and is a general dentist, providing comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages in her hometown of Jacksonville, Florida. Dr. Monteiro graduated from The Bolles School, and completed her undergraduate degree at the University of North Florida. She then attended dental school at the University of Louisville, where she graduated with honors. Dr. Monteiro has a true passion for dentistry and is able to serve Jacksonville with cosmetic dentistry, dentures, dental implants, dental crowns, preventive care, and much more.

I've waited awhile to have my old teeth repaired. I needed five crowns. Being able to see the condition of those teeth on a large screen with modern technology just as Dr. Monteiro sees them helped me understand what needed to be done. It has been nearly a month since I had the work completed. Those five new crowns settled in nicely, and they're truly better than the teeth they replaced.Flossing is easy and the chipped teeth are gone for good. Feels great! It is a pleasure to have a dentist who is skilled, kind, positive, respectful to her staff and gentle as she works.

I first picked River Oaks because, even though it was a bit further from where I live, because there are only a few board certified dentists in Jacksonville. I didn't want to go to a dentist that focuses on volume over quality. I've been very happy with my experience with River Oaks. Their quality and service are top notch. They will continue to be my dentist for as long as I'm in Jax. I went though the process of invisible braces with them. The price was similar to mail order but there was much better hands on customization. I don't see how it would be possible to get such great results if I hadn't gone through them.

I typically HATE the dentist as I get severe anxiety (irrational but it happens) so I had been putting it off for quite some time. Today was my first appointment in a lot of years so needless to say I was anticipating the worst. Despite my circumstances, I walked out of the office filled with optimism and a renewed sense of faith in dentistry. They not only asked questions, but listened to my responses and used them as the basis for my treatment plan moving forward. I’m excited to begin and I feel like I’m in good hands with the River Oaks Dental team.
