You will experience a mild euphoria throughout your treatment, but afterward you’ll feel like yourself in no time. You’ll be able to drive yourself home without any assistance. For a deeper level of relaxation, you can opt for oral conscious sedation. Dr. Monteiro will prescribe a safe, FDA-approved pill for you to take ahead of time. By the time you’re seated in our dental chair, your mind will be completely at ease, and you may even feel a little groggy. Afterward, you may not remember much, if anything, about your procedure. The pill’s effects will take several hours to wear off, so you’ll need a trusted friend or family member to drive you home.
