Dr. Rachel Monteiro

Dr. Rachel Harris Monteiro is the founder of River Oaks Dental and is a general dentist in Jacksonville, providing comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages in her hometown. Dr. Monteiro graduated from The Bolles School, and completed her undergraduate degree at the University of North Florida. She then attended dental school at the University of Louisville, where she graduated with honors.

Dr. Monteiro has a true passion for dentistry. If she’s not treating a patient, she’s reading dental journals or taking continuing education courses to be able to provide the best and most up to date care for her patients. She treats patients of all ages (her youngest patients are infants, and her oldest is 103). Dr. Monteiro strives to provide the most relaxing, comfortable, and positive dental experience possible for all patients. She has taken advanced education to safely provide sedation for her patients and is a member of DOCS, a leading organization for dental sedation. Dr. Monteiro has also earned her Fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists after completing her implant training through the University of Florida. She is also a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity, and Guild of Dental Scholars.

I've waited a while to have my old teeth repaired. I needed five crowns. Being able to see the condition of those teeth on a larger screen with modern technology just as Dr. Monteiro sees them helped me understand what needed to be done. Very prompt, very clean. I have always had anxiety in the past when going to the dentist but here at River Oaks I do no longer have that anxiety or fear of going. I am always excited about my appointments because I don't have to worry about being hurt or uncomfortable. The staff is very patient and gentle. I LOVE it here! And they are also very affordable. I do not use insurance and I've been going here almost 3 years now!

Today my son and I saw Dr. Monteiro for our regular six month check-up and cleaning. We were so impressed with the doctor and her staff. The office is absolutely gorgeous!
